JLPT simulations.
Your questions.

A simulation has 23 questions across vocabulary, grammar, reading and listening. The questions use formats found in JLPT preparation, and simulations are available from N5 to N1.

Each section has a five-minute time limit. Selecting an answer moves you forward, and the answer sheet lets you revisit questions within that section. Once time is up, the section is submitted and unanswered questions count as incorrect.

After a simulation, the result includes each section's score and a review of your answers. Listening review includes audio and a transcript where one is available. Completed attempts are saved under JLPT simulations in My page.

Your score in each section is the percentage of questions answered correctly. To pass the simulation, all four section scores must meet the minimum set for that JLPT level.

Simulations cannot be paused. You can change your answers while a section is active, but submitted sections cannot be reopened. Leaving the simulation ends the attempt, and it cannot be resumed.

Questions are drawn randomly from the pool for your level. Attempts can include questions you've seen before, especially when a section has fewer available questions.

If your result fails to save, keep the page open and select Retry saving result. Your answers stay on that screen for the retry; refreshing or closing the tab discards them. During the simulation, the timer keeps running even if the connection drops.

No. JLPTMatome is an independent study platform. Its simulations are designed for JLPT preparation, but they are shorter than the official exam and use JLPTMatome's own questions.
