What it means
たびに means “every time” or “whenever” and describes an action or event that repeatedly leads to the same result. It is used for recurring occasions, habits, and procedures. With a noun, it normally follows の; with a verb, it follows the dictionary form. The result can be in the present or past, but the event before たびに is normally presented as a repeated occasion.
Usage note
With verbs, use the dictionary form before たびに, not the past or て-form. Do not confuse it with ごとに, which can also mean “every,” but more often emphasizes a regular interval or each individual unit.
