What it means
いたします is the polite humble form of いたす, which is the humble form of する. It is used when the speaker respectfully lowers their own action, especially in business, customer service, announcements, and other formal situations. With a noun plus を, it means that the speaker will humbly perform the action represented by the noun. Although いたす has a plain grammatical form, it remains formal and humble rather than becoming ordinary familiar speech; familiar speech normally uses する instead.
Usage note
いたします is not a natural familiar counterpart of する. Use する in genuinely casual or ordinary plain speech, and reserve いたします for respectful, formal situations. It is also common in set expressions such as よろしくお願いいたします, but that expression should be learned separately as a fixed polite phrase.
