What it means
たらいいですか asks for advice about the best action. It commonly means “What should I do?” or “Which action would be best?” Depending on the context, it can also ask whether an action is acceptable, as in “Would it be okay if I...?” The polite form is suitable for speaking to teachers, staff, customers, and other people who require polite language. The familiar counterpart is たらいい?.
Usage note
たらいいですか can ask for advice or, in some contexts, permission. When you clearly want to ask for permission, てもいいですか is usually more direct and less ambiguous.
