What it means
かもしれない expresses uncertainty: something might be true, may happen, or is possibly the case. It presents the statement as one possibility rather than a confident prediction. It follows the plain form of a verb or an i-adjective, and it follows a noun or a na-adjective directly. Its polite counterpart is かもしれません.
Usage note
With nouns and na-adjectives, do not add な before かもしれない. The negative form ないかもしれない means that something might not happen or might not be true, so it is different from expressing certainty that something will not happen.
