What it means
ね is a sentence-ending particle that seeks agreement, confirms shared information, or makes a statement sound warmer and less abrupt. It is often used when the speaker expects the listener to agree or notice the same thing. It can follow both familiar and polite sentences; the politeness comes from the predicate before ね.
Usage note
ね is different from よ. ね invites agreement or shared attention, while よ presents information more directly as something the listener may not know. Avoid adding ね when you want to sound completely neutral or strongly assertive.
