What it means
つもり expresses a firm plan or intention to do something. It follows the plain non-past form of a verb, and the final form can be familiar つもりだ or polite つもりです. The plan usually belongs to the speaker or another person whose intentions are being discussed.
Usage note
Do not confuse this use with noun phrases such as 私のつもり, which can mean someone's understanding, intention, or attitude depending on context. The negative verb form before つもり means that someone intends not to do something.
