What it means
ましょう expresses a polite suggestion or invitation, usually meaning “let’s ...” and including the speaker in the proposed action. It is formed by adding ましょう to the ます-stem of a verb. The familiar equivalent is the plain volitional form, such as 行こう. The suggestion is generally about an action that has not happened yet.
Usage note
ましょう usually presents the speaker’s proposal for a shared action. When asking whether the listener wants to do something, ましょうか is often more natural and has a clearer question-like nuance.
