What it means
きっての means “the most distinguished” or “the foremost” within a particular group or field. It is used attributively after a noun naming the relevant group and before another noun, often to praise someone or something as outstanding in that category. The expression has a strong, elevated nuance and is especially common in formal writing, journalism, and promotional descriptions.
Usage note
きっての normally modifies a following noun, as in “the foremost expert in the field,” rather than functioning as an ordinary sentence-ending superlative. It should not be confused with more neutral superlative expressions such as 一番 or 最も.
