What it means
のみならず means “not only A but also B” and adds emphasis that B is an additional, often notable fact. It is a formal connective commonly used in reports, essays, news, and presentations. It can follow nouns, plain-form verbs, and i-adjectives; na-adjectives normally use であるのみならず.
Usage note
のみならず is considerably more formal than だけでなく and is uncommon in casual conversation. The part after のみならず is often marked with も, though this is not required in every sentence.
