What it means
ように見える means that someone or something appears to be a certain way based on visible features, behavior, or other observable signs. It can mean “it looks like” or “it seems like,” without asserting that the impression is definitely true. It attaches to a noun with の, to a な-adjective with な, and directly to an い-adjective or a plain-form clause. The polite counterpart is ように見えます.
Usage note
ように見える describes an observer’s impression from appearance or signs. Do not confuse it with そうに見える: the latter can describe how something appears, but the imminent-event meaning is mainly associated with the 様態 form そうだ, not generally with そうに見える.
