What it means
ものだから expresses a reason or cause, meaning “because” or “due to.” It often presents the reason as an explanation or excuse for a situation, especially when the speaker wants the listener to understand why something happened. It usually follows a plain form; nouns and な-adjectives take な before ものだから. The polite counterpart is ものですから.
Usage note
ものだから can sound like the speaker is defending or excusing an action, so it is less neutral than a simple reason marker such as ので. In casual speech, it may be shortened to もんだから.
