What it means
たとえ〇〇ても means “even if” or “no matter what.” It presents a condition that does not change the result, often emphasizing that the condition is extreme, unlikely, or difficult. The result can be a decision, promise, plan, or statement of determination. With nouns and na-adjectives, the form is でも; with i-adjectives, it is くても; and with verbs, it follows the て-form.
Usage note
たとえ〇〇ても is stronger and more emphatic than ordinary 〇〇ても. The following clause normally expresses an unchanged result or firm attitude, rather than a simple possible consequence.
