What it means
かどうか follows a clause to express uncertainty about whether something is true or not. It is used when the answer is one of two possibilities, such as true or false, going or not going, or being a certain state or not. The clause before かどうか normally uses a plain form, including when the main sentence is polite.
Usage note
The predicate inside the clause usually remains in plain form before かどうか. Politeness is normally shown by the main predicate after the clause, as in 確認する or 確認します.
