What it means
ても expresses a condition that does not change the result. It can mean “even if” for a possible condition or “even though” for a known fact. It attaches to a verb in the て-form, an i-adjective in its く-form, or a noun or na-adjective followed by でも. The main clause can be familiar or polite independently of this grammar.
Usage note
Do not attach ても directly to a verb dictionary form or to the plain form of an i-adjective. For a noun or na-adjective, use でも, which can resemble the separate particle combination で + も.
