What it means
予定だ expresses that something is scheduled or planned. It commonly follows a verb in the dictionary form, as in 行く予定だ, or a noun followed by の, as in 来週の予定だ. It describes a plan that has been decided, so it is stronger than simply saying that someone wants to do something. The familiar form ends in だ, while the polite form ends in です.
Usage note
予定だ refers to a plan or schedule and does not necessarily guarantee that the event will happen. Do not confuse it with つもりだ, which more directly describes a person's intention.
