What it means
場合は means “in the case of” or “in the event of.” It presents a situation or condition and states what applies in that situation. It is commonly used in instructions, rules, explanations, and careful everyday speech. The word before 場合 is usually a noun, a plain-form verb, an い-adjective, or a な-adjective with な.
Usage note
With a noun, use の before 場合は. With a な-adjective, use な before 場合は. 場合は describes a specific situation or possible event, so it is not interchangeable with every use of a general conditional such as と or なら.
How to use it
初心者の場合は、ゆっくり練習します。

必要な場合は、係員に知らせます。
