Four sections.
One focused session.

Practice 23 questions based on the vocabulary, grammar, reading, and listening tasks used for JLPT preparation. Each five-minute section focuses on a different skill, and your results show what to review next.

Vocabulary

Questions cover kanji readings and word meanings, including how words are used in a sentence.

Grammar

Questions cover grammar forms and sentence structure, including arranging words or phrases in the correct order.

Reading

Reading questions use passages with gaps to complete or details to identify.

Listening

Listening questions use spoken Japanese and ask about details or responses in a conversation.

N1

N1 vocabulary and complex texts

N1 practice covers advanced expressions and complex writing, where context, tone and implied meaning affect how a passage is understood.

  • Differences in meaning, tone and formality between similar expressions
  • The writer's own view and the views described in a passage
  • Implied meaning and the relationship between examples and conclusions

After your practice

Your N1 result keeps the questions and answers alongside scores for all four sections. The lessons below explain advanced vocabulary, grammar and kanji, and saved lessons can be used in a flashcard drill with material you want to review.
