What it means
ところから presents a fact or observable circumstance as the basis for an inference, judgment, or conclusion. It is close to “from the fact that” or “judging from,” and it commonly introduces evidence before a conclusion such as 推測できる, 判断できる, or 考えられる. The construction is more formal and analytical than a straightforward causal から, so it should normally support an interpretation rather than merely state that one event directly caused another.
Usage note
Do not use ところから as a simple replacement for causal から when the first clause directly produces the second event. With a noun, the usual formal pattern is noun + であるところから; with a na-adjective, use na-adjective + なところから.
How to use it
